Seit der Veröffentlichung am Mittwochabend häuft sich die Kritik an einer der prominentesten Neuerungen in iOS 6:: Unmut und Erheiterung über iOS-6-Maps. Also ich finde die Karten-App gelungen und ausbaufähig für die Zukunft, das war Google Maps auf iOS nicht. Die Karten sehen aus wie die von Bing-Maps und mit 3D-Objekten auf dem neuen iPad schaut das grandios aus. Wann wollte Google Maps damit nochmals aufhübschen?

Gestern testete ich auch mal die Navigation in Stuttgart und muss sagen, es funktioniert, aber die Ansagen kommen für meinen Geschmack etwas knapp und es fehlen Details. Navigon wird da vorerst meine erste Wahl bleiben. Aber für eine Navigation zu Fuß ist Apples Lösung ideal.

Andersrum: dies ist die erste Version von Apple Maps ohne langer öffentlicher Beta-Phase, es wird Updates geben und in einem Jahr ist alles gut.
